Rise. Watch. Fall.
A collision between a young artist trying to escape his past and an older man desperate to prove his own story is not over.
The night at The Vane

Cove Rainer is not trying to be famous. He is trying to survive long enough to become something else. He lives on a North London estate under the shadow of his older brother Malik, now serving life in prison for murder. Music is the only thing that has ever made him feel separate from it.
Everything changes the night he plays at The Vane. Phones come out. Within hours, clips of the performance spread online. By morning, people are sharing his name. By the end of the week, the industry is watching.
Reggie sees it before anyone else

Reggie throws himself into Cove's rise with obsessive belief. This is the moment that proves he still matters. He pushes Cove into bigger shows, industry meetings, studio sessions, interviews, anything that keeps momentum building.
At first Cove trusts him. Reggie becomes the father figure he never had. But as Cove's profile explodes, Reggie stops seeing him as a young man under pressure and starts seeing him as salvation.
The streets pull harder

Malik's name starts carrying weight again. Old enemies and old loyalties resurface. People approach Cove because of who his brother was, not who he is. Videos of him performing are reposted alongside gang pages and old stories.
On stage he looks untouchable. Off stage he is falling apart, panic, imposter syndrome, and the growing feeling that his life is moving too fast for him to control.
Rax makes a decision
The Vane is part of Rax's operation, a place used to move money and drugs quietly through Camden. Cove's fame threatens that balance. Cameras, executives, and online attention flood the venue every night. Rax decides the risk is no longer worth it.
The showcase

Reggie organises a major industry showcase at The Vane. Every major label attends. For Reggie, this is redemption. For Cove, it is terrifying, until he walks onto that stage. The performance is unforgettable. A bidding war begins before he has even left the building.
Camden Lock

That same night, Rax gives the order. After leaving the showcase, Cove walks home through Camden with his little sister Nova. At Camden Lock, a group of riders on stolen e-bikes surround them. The attack is sudden and brutal.
The final moments of the season are not loud. They are quiet. Blood mixing with rainwater beside the canal. Sirens in the distance. Nova covered in her brother's blood. Reggie arriving too late.
Cove Rainer was finally becoming something extraordinary. And that is exactly what got him killed.
